We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Chatbot/Conversational AI Tester to ensure the quality, functionality, and user experience of our chatbot and conversational AI applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing conversational flows, identifying issues, and improving the chatbot's performance and accuracy.

What we’re looking for (qualifications)

We are not big on formal qualifications, and we value hands-on skills. We also enjoy working with people who are looking to learn new things and have a sense of responsibility toward their work.

• Experience in software testing, QA methodologies, and test automation.
• Familiarity with chatbot platforms such as Dialogflow, Microsoft Bot Framework, Rasa, or IBM Watson.
• Understanding of NLP (Natural Language Processing) concepts and intent/entity recognition.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript is a plus.
• Knowledge of API testing tools like Postman.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with AI/ML-driven applications and training conversational models.
• Hands-on experience with automation testing tools for chatbots.
• Exposure to user behavior analysis and UX testing for conversational interfaces.

What you'll do (responsibilities)

• Develop and execute test cases for chatbot and conversational AI applications.
• Analyze and evaluate chatbot conversations for accuracy, coherence, and natural language understanding.
• Identify functional and non-functional issues, including incorrect responses, intent mismatches, and UI/UX inconsistencies.
• Conduct regression testing to ensure chatbot performance is maintained after updates.
• Work closely with developers, data scientists, and UX designers to improve chatbot interactions and functionality.
• Utilize automation testing tools and frameworks to streamline the chatbot testing process.
• Validate integrations with third-party systems, APIs, and databases.
• Report bugs, suggest improvements, and document findings effectively.
• Ensure compliance with privacy, security, and accessibility standards.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in conversational AI testing.
